Cornerstone is governed by 18 members of our Board of Directors who are dedicated and distinguished professionals and community members. The Board of Directors provides leadership and strategic direction.

Stephanie Revering

Chief Stephanie Revering, Chair
Crystal Police Department

Stephanie Revering was named Chief of the Crystal Police Department in October of 2012 following a three year tenure as the department’s Deputy Chief. She started her law enforcement career at the City of Crystal in 1997 as a Community Service Officer and advanced through the ranks serving in various assignments.

Chief Revering holds a Masters Degree in Public Safety Administration from St. Mary’s University and a Bachelors Degree from Metro State University. In addition, she is a graduate of Northwestern Police Staff and Command, the CLEO Academy, the BCA Supervisor/Management School, and she is a FBI LEEDS graduate.

Most recently, Chief Revering was elected to the Secretary position for the MN Chiefs of Police Association.

Adam Lacock

Adam Lacock, Past Chair

Adam Lacock has served on the Cornerstone Board of Directors since 2014. Prior to his current role as Finance Director for Twin Cities PBS, Adam held multiple leadership roles at Target Corporation and ING. Adam earned an MBA from Drake University and a BA in Economics from the University of Northern Iowa. He and his wife, Jessica, live in Rogers with their two sons. Adam is also involved in his local church where he serves as Deacon and Board Treasurer.

Board Member Sarah Wendorf

Sarah Wendorf, Vice Chair
Scott County Attorney’s Office

Sarah has been a prosecuting attorney since 2002 and is currently the manager of the criminal, juvenile and child protection divisions at the Scott County Attorney’s Office.

She received her BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law. Sarah volunteered for Cornerstone as a helpline advocate and support group facilitator from 1994 to 1998 and later became a criminal intervention advocate from 2000 to 2002.

Tony Thomas

Tony Thomas, Treasurer
Cedar Valley Church

Tony spent thirty years in sales/marketing and general management for companies such as BI Worldwide, Carlson Companies, Gage and Anderson Performance Improvement. Today he serves as Senior Manager – Business, for Cedar Valley Church. His responsibilities include oversight of finance, facilities, food service, IT and human resources. He and his wife live in Bloomington. They have two married children and four grandchildren.

Board Member Loren Thacker

Loren Thacker, Secretary

Loren joined the board of Cornerstone at the beginning of 2020. He is the Institutional Sector General Counsel for Ecolab Inc. in St. Paul where he is responsible for the general legal support for Ecolab’s global Healthcare, Life Sciences, Institutional (hotels and restaurants), Kay Chemical, Pest Elimination, and Textile Care businesses. Prior to joining Ecolab in 1998, Loren was an attorney for one of the predecessor law firms of Ballard Spahr in Minneapolis for four years. Prior to law school, Loren worked as a CPA for six years. Loren earned an accounting degree from the University of Minnesota (Carlson School of Management) and a law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School. Loren and his fiancé, Mary Giesler, live in Woodbury.


Cory Bultinck
Wipfli, LLP

Cory Bultinck is a tax partner and the leader of Minnesota’s construction and real estate practice for Wipfli, LLP. He helps his clients achieve success through personalized and proactive planning.

Cory takes a proactive approach toward client service that includes being up to speed on changing tax laws, ensuring compliance needs are met in a timely manner, and making certain that tax planning strategies are diligently executed. He often works collaboratively with his clients’ financial advisors, attorneys, and other key stakeholders. Clients value Cory’s focus on thorough communication, effective tax planning, and responsiveness to their specific needs.

Courtney Grimsrud
Okabena Company

Courtney Grimsrud is a Senior Relationship Manager at Okabena Company, a family office serving multiple families in Minneapolis. Courtney is responsible for the management of client relationships and works with a team of wealth management specialists to serve the financial needs of families, including asset management, wealth planning and fiduciary services. Earlier in her career, Courtney was a tax and estate planning attorney.

Courtney received her LL.M. in Taxation with honors from Northwestern University School of Law, a juris doctor degree cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School, and a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in political science from Purdue University. Courtney lives in St. Paul with her husband, Dan, and their three children.

Board Member LoAnn Heuring

Dr. LoAnn Heuring

LoAnn is an internist and pediatrician at Fairview Clinics. She believes in combining evidence-based practice with patient-centered communication to empower patients to actively participate in their care and lead healthier lives. LoAnn earned a bachelor’s degree from Macalester College and a medical degree from New Jersey Medical School.

Board Member Chris Lockhart

Chris Lockhart
Wipfli, LLP

Chris Lockhart is a member of the private client service tax team and specializes in working with executives, high net worth individuals, and wealthy families. Chris also has experience with international tax issues, especially as they concern expatriate and inpatriate matters. He understands the intricate filing requirements for foreign financial accounts and investments, the U.S. credits and exclusions allowable for income earned in other countries.

Andrew Miller
Eaton Corporation

Andrew has over 20 years of business management experience and is currently the Director of Global Business Process and Analytics where he is responsible for leading the business through a digital transformation journey to improve functional performance and customer experience. Andrew leads a team of data scientists, business analysts, business process partners, and master data stewards, who works with business professionals using design thinking techniques and big data analytics and science to digitize business processes for improved decision making and increased organization collaboration.

Andrew is a lifelong learner, receiving his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering, a Master of Business Administration and Executive Management from Carlson School of Management at University of Minnesota, a business analytics certificate from Harvard University, and is studying design thinking at Stanford University. Andrew resides in Mound, is married to Mackenzie and they have one daughter.

Board Member Chau Nguyen

Chau Bang Nguyen was born and raised in Minnesota and is the mother of two beautiful girls, Athena and Brianna. Since 1997, she has demonstrated on-going dedication and commitment to early childhood programs, school districts and the community. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Psychology and Sociology from the University of Minnesota. She also obtained a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership and an Educational Administration K-12 principal certificate from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Her undergraduate and graduate experiences have provided her with the skills and knowledge to be a successful leader. These leadership roles included serving the Vietnamese community as a former President for the Youth Development Program. She also worked in the Robbinsdale Area Schools as a team lead for the Targeted Services and After School Matter Program, a Career and College Readiness Coach, Equity Specialist, Activities Director and the District’s Summer Program Coordinator. She worked for more than 10 years as an Early Childhood teacher and Early Learning Mentor Coach. Currently, Chau Nguyen is a Director of Education for an Early Childhood Head Start agency in Hennepin County that serves over 2,500 families and children at 13 centers. She is excited to continue to inspire and empower others to overcome their fear, take risks and reach for their dreams!

Board Member Dan Rubin

Dan Rubin, M.D. is a senior physician informaticist at Intelligent Medical Objects in Northbrook, IL. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Clinical Informatics. He previously served as Chief Medical Officer at LogicStream Health and Medical Director at UCare. Dan earned a bachelor’s degree from Duke University, a master’s in health informatics from the University of Minnesota and a medical degree from SUNY – Brooklyn. He completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin.

Board Member Martha Stutsman

Martha Stutsman is the Founder and President of Woodland Strategies, Inc. She has over 20 years of expertise in marketing management and strategic planning in a variety of industries. Martha’s earliest professional career experience includes working as an LICSW, working in a Level 1 trauma center as well as with community-based nonprofits.  Martha has consistently served on a variety of professional committees and boards spanning her professional career. She is a Hennepin County Master Gardener serving as a Volunteer Community Educator through the University of MN, Extension Division. She also has a longstanding history of invitations to mentor individuals to support a variety of organizations and their stakeholders.

Martha earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and French Literature, and her MSW from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. She holds a graduate certificate in Child Abuse Prevention Studies (Levels I and II) from the University of MN. She has also completed graduate certificates in Executive Leadership, and Financial Success for Nonprofits, both from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. 

Board Member Sandy Unger

Sandy is a native New Yorker who grew up in the heart of Manhattan. Sandy attended Brooklyn College and left New York in 1971 to pursue her career in Parks and Recreation Administration. After attending Ohio State University for her Master’s Degree, she settled in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul. For more than 25 years Sandy worked in local government and school districts in the leisure management field. She has branched out into the nonprofit world and most recently held the position of Youth Programs and Community Outreach Manager for Twin Cities In Motion. She is also a consultant on nonprofit structure and organizational issues. Sandy is a former International President and Past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Jewish Women International based in Washington. DC. In St. Paul/Minneapolis, Sandy is a co-founder of the current Jewish Domestic Abuse Collaborative of the Twin Cities.

Board Member Lisa Wadsen

Lisa Wadsen is currently the Vice President of Real Estate and Development for Xperience Fitness and been with the company since 2011. She collaborates with the owners on ideal new business locations, LOI and lease negotiations, design, and handles all aspects of construction and getting all supplies and equipment into the facility. She also oversees the capital assets and remodel process for the existing locations. With more than 30 years of experience teaching, managing, and operational processes in the fitness field, Lisa has held many different leadership positions at every level in several fitness organizations. She graduated from University of WI- River Falls, with a BS in Health and Human Performance and an MBA from University of Northwestern. She currently resides in Bloomington with her husband, David and their 3 dogs. They have 2 children and 2 granddaughters. She also serves on the women’s ministry team at Cedar Valley Church in Bloomington.

Board Member John Weidner

John has over 25 years of experience leading strategic planning and risk mitigation efforts relating to financial, operational, governance and reputational risk for large banking institutions.His experience includes managing complex legal and business challenges to ensure optimal outcomes across domestic and international business lines and leading businesses to leverage strengths to drive product and process innovation. Earlier in his career, John was a classroom teacher of first, fourth and fifth grade children. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration-Finance from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota and his Masters degree from the College of Education, University of Minnesota.

Julie Lynn York

Julie Lynn York is an experienced professional who has assisted many companies in marketing and promotion strategy development and execution as well as brand positioning over the past 30 years. Currently she is responsible for managing and expanding Brown-Forman’s integrated marketing and the development and management marketing alliances in cultivating new strategically appropriate marketing programs and relationships that will benefit both the brand teams and the customer teams. She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN with majors in both Psychology and Business Administration.
