We truly appreciate the support of so many members of our community.
Thank you to the United Methodist Women of the Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church for our 2022 Balch Memorial Fund grant, allowing us to support families accessing emergency shelter in local hotels. We also received generous support for our critical Emergency Services programming from BNSF Railway Foundation, a long-time partner in this work.
Another long-time partner and supporter of Cornerstone’s mission is Kopp Family Foundation, who made a generous gift in support of general operations, allowing us to meet the greatest needs of our participants as they arise.
Cornerstone is grateful to our long-time partners at Normandale Hyland United Methodist Church for their contribution of 114 cleaning products. As prices of everyday items continue to increase, it is wonderful to have these items to provide to Cornerstone’s families.
Cornerstone is truly grateful for the ongoing support of three long-term partners in the Elmer L. & Eleanor J. Andersen Foundation, the SandCastle Foundation and the Buuck Family Foundation. Their support for general operations allows Cornerstone to meet the greatest needs of our participants as they arise. Another long-term partner that has made a grant to support Cornerstone’s Emergency Shelter update project is The Richfield Foundation, who is helping Cornerstone replace the bunk beds that are original to the building.
We are also excited for a new partnership with the Edwards Memorial Trust, who is a new funder of our Clinical Services programming.
And we want to extend our gratitude to the Edina Federated Women’s Club who selected Cornerstone to be a beneficiary of their annual Feds Fest event in November. It was a fun evening and we are grateful for their support.
Thank you to the Bloomington Crime Prevention Association for your 2022 grant award to support Cornerstone’s School-Based Services (SBS) Program. We are grateful for your long-term investment in prevention and early intervention work with youth in our community.
We are also grateful for the continued partnership of the Clara Foundation, who has renewed their support for Cornerstone’s Clinical Services programming. This work provides affordable and trauma-informed mental health services for victim/survivors of violence.
Cornerstone’s Emergency Shelter houses families and individuals who are in imminent danger of domestic violence, sexual violence or human trafficking. We are grateful for financial support from the Mary Kay Ash Foundation and the Richfield Foundation to make improvements to our physical space, as well as for the support of a brand new funder–the Birmingham-Dorsey Charitable Trust–who provided general support for our Emergency Services programming.
Thank you to the Otto Bremer Trust for its 2022 general operating grant to support our comprehensive programming for adults and children who’ve experienced trauma and abuse. This generous gift allows us to meet the complex needs of victims/survivors as they seek safety and support.
Finally, thank you to the generous volunteers and donors at Patterson Thuente IP for including Cornerstone in their holiday giving. They donated baskets of cleaning supplies and bags of basic needs items to each of the families in Cornerstone’s transitional housing program. With the cost of everyday items increasing dramatically, these donations were needed and truly appreciated.
