Cornerstone was founded in 1983 by a group of forward-thinking and caring volunteers. Since then we have expanded in size, scope and geographic footprint. Through it all, we remain committed to serving our community.

Now through October 2023, Cornerstone is celebrating 40 years of providing life-changing programs for individuals and families experiencing violence and abuse. Our 40th anniversary is a chance to honor those who made the last 40 years possible: volunteers, donors, board members, staff and the community. It is also an opportunity to reflect back on the strength and accomplishments of our agency and those we serve.

We will be celebrating our 40th anniversary year in several ways:

  • An ongoing celebration throughout 2023 in Cornerstone’s newsletters and social media, which will include stories, reflections, and accomplishments
  • The official Anniversary Celebration fundraiser on October 27, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Minnesota Valley Country Club. This event is officially open for registration here.
