Cornerstone’s efforts to improve the functionality and accessibility of our emergency shelter have been financially supported by many community organizations, including the Bloomington Rotary Foundation, the Richfield Foundation, and the Edina Rotary Foundation. Most recently, this support has allowed us to purchase sets of bunk beds for use in the shelter bedrooms.
Two other long-term, committed supporters of Cornerstone’s mission are SFM Mutual Insurance Company and Empire Beauty School who made generous gifts in support of general operations, allowing us to meet the greatest needs of our participants as they arise.
Thank you to Justice for Jonathan for your donation of birthday bundles for the children and youth we serve.
We are so grateful to the Church of St. Edward community for their generous donation of cleaning supplies this spring. As part of their services during the Lenten season, the members of St. Edward collected everything from laundry detergent to Clorox wipes for Cornerstone’s families.
Thank you to a dedicated group of volunteers from Wilmington Trust for their hard work staining Cornerstone’s fence and doing outdoor clean-up. They helped the agency get ready for spring!
We are also grateful to the Jefferson High School DECA Club for their donations of basic needs items and financial support.
Thank you to the Minnesota Shopping Center Association for inviting Cornerstone to be their charitable partner at their Bowling Bonanza on April 27th. From their generous members, we collected critical household items including diapers, cleaning supplies, and hygienic products, as well as cash donations.
On May 16th, Cornerstone’s staff, volunteers and families came together to honor moms at our Mother’s Day event. Over 50 people came to share a delicious meal donated by the Hyatt Regency Bloomington and moms received beautiful roses compliments of K Mackenzie Design. We are so grateful to these community partners and to the wonderful volunteers who helped make the evening special for Cornerstone’s families.
Thank you to volunteers from Western National Insurance for pulling weeds and doing other spring clean-up at Cornerstone’s Bloomington location in May—it was wonderful to have the help as we get ready to use our outdoor spaces this summer.
Thank you to Entrust for dropping off their Employee Drive donations with an amazing amount of our needed items, including diapers, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, and more, as well as 10 STEM backpacks!
Cornerstone was fortunate to have a great group of volunteers from the Courtyard by Marriott Edina Bloomington provide a community meal to share with our families in late June. The pasta, salad, and garlic bread were a big hit!
Finally, thank you to Two Men and a Truck for supporting Cornerstone’s participants as part of the 2023 Movers for Moms program. We were so grateful to receive so many wonderful donations, including hair products.
