Thank You to Our Supporters – July 2020

Many thanks to dozens of financial donors and in-kind donors who’ve answered our call for donations to support our services and help to keep participants and staff safe. We appreciate your generosity!

A special thank you to the following funders:

Cornerstone’s Emergency Services Program, while adhering to recommended guidelines, continues to provide 24/7 crisis intervention and advocate support, safe housing and all basic needs during the pandemic. Thank you to Eaton Corporation, the Russell T. Lund Charitable Trust and the Minneapolis Area Realtors (MAR) Foundation for their recent grant awards to support this critical work.

Many of Cornerstone’s families have experienced job loss or economic hardships over the past few months. Cornerstone’s Community and Economic Empowerment Services (CEES) Program continues, in part, to provide individual economic advocacy as well as virtual Financial Literacy Classes. Thanks to Alerus for supporting the CEES Program.

We are grateful to the Frank Hadley and Cornelia Root Ginn Foundation for its recent grant award to support School-Based Services (SBS) innovative work during this unprecedented time. When schools moved to on-line learning, SBS quickly adapted our partnership to support schools and students – moving violence prevention education presentations to an interactive platform for virtual learning and connecting with students faced with challenges of new digital relationships and reduced school system supports.

Thank you to the Fiterman Family Foundation for the 2020 grant to support our work with children, youth and families. Cornerstone’s strong commitment to meeting the needs of young people remains.

Thank you to Clara’s Foundation for their recent grant to support our clinical therapy program.

COVID-19 has impacted our organization and our participants – and will continue to do so. General operating grants from the Charlson Foundation and the Buuck Family Foundation will assist us in meeting the evolving needs during this uncertain time of change. We so appreciate your continued support; thank you
