Cornerstone Advocacy Service is pleased to announce that the Rape and Sexual Abuse Center (RSAC), previously a program of Neighborhood Involvement Program, Inc. (N.I.P.), will become a program of Cornerstone Advocacy Service as of January 1, 2015. The Rape and Sexual Abuse Center has been serving female and male survivors of rape and sexual assault in the Minneapolis area for 42 years by providing a crisis line and comprehensive individual and group therapy along with community education. These services enhance Cornerstone, a 30 year old nonprofit that has been providing an array of programs designed to meet the needs of adults and children that have experienced abuse and violence. Programs at Cornerstone include emergency shelter; criminal justice services; youth, family and children’s therapy; school based services; and community based outreach and advocacy services. Cornerstone operates programs from locations in Bloomington and Brooklyn Center and will operate the Rape and Sexual Abuse Center from its current location in the City of Minneapolis at 2431 Hennepin Avenue South.
